YOUTH MINISTRY

Our Mission

We Disciple, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,

baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of

the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that Christ

has commanded (Matthew 28:19-20), telling This Generation the

praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wonderful works

that He has done(Psalms 78:4), Praying for knowledge, wisdom,

and spiritual understanding; to be fruitful in every good work,

according to His glorious power (Colossians 1:9-10), that They

Love God and Walk in His Ways (Joshua 22:5).

 


Our Method

EVCF Youth’s game plan is DISCIPLESHIP. Our leaders are committed 

to come alongside parents as they make disciples of their children 

throughout these Junior High to Senior High years. The goal is to train 

up the coming generation at EVCF in the Scriptures, allowing them 

to grow in their personal walk with God and having numerous 

opportunities to exercise their faith. The key components to this plan 

are the hearing of the Word of God, One on One Discipleship, 

Worshiping and Serving God with the EVCF Church Body, Outreach and 

Christ Centered Community, all of which is to be doused in prayer. 

We study the Word of God for the purpose of growing closer to Him, for the edification of the Church, the comfort and conviction 

of the student and furthering of each student’s personal walk with Christ. We practice One on One Discipleship so that students 

may be encouraged and held accountable in their personal walk with Christ. One on One Discipleship also affords the opportunity 

for a student to share their life and where they are at in their walk with an Christian adult. These meetings will target each 

individual student and their walk with the study of the Word, prayer and the deepening of their Faith. We Worship with the EVCF 

Body because the Youth are part of the EVCF Body. Our goal here is to be unified as a church in our worship through music to God, 

brothers and sisters in Christ- parents and children, Christians of all ages joining together to bring praise to the Lord. We Serve 

with the EVCF Body because the Youth are part of the EVCF Body. Although the Youth will have opportunity for their own ministries 

within the youth groups, (Mission Trips, Service Projects, Etc), the Youth will also join EVCF Adults in other EVCF Ministries. 

This is done so that when a student graduates the youth ministry he or she has already become involved in ministry outside of 

the youth group. We Reach Out to the youth community of San Diego. Whether in school, the mall or elsewhere, EVCF Youth will 

practice and carry out the Great Commission. We have the Gospel and we will share it through Outreach Events, inviting friends 

to church and sharing the Gospel wherever we go. We build our Community around Christ because no other foundation is worthy 

of Him. We gather together to fellowship and encourage each other as students walk through their Junior High to Senior High 

years in Christ. Our fellowship allows students to share their lives and walks and to build unity that will carry on past High 

School and into the Body of EVCF. We believe in Lock In’s, Camping, Beach Days, Band Nights, Pizza, Ice Cream and Dye Wars! 

And much more, through these events we fellowship and learn more about Christ all while having some fun and a soda. Keep an 

eye out for our events and trips, there will be a lot of them!
