THE HOMELESS MINISTRY

The Homeless Ministry aims to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of the homeless on the streets of San Diego.  We do this by giving them food, distributing donated clothes, blankets, sleeping bags and toiletries.  We also find resources for those homeless who need medical attention, and whenever possible guide those in need of work to the right resources.

How you can help:

  • Have a willing heart to reach out and love those who are less fortunate then ourselves.
  • Be willing to hand out food to our brothers and sisters living on the streets.
  • Pray with the homeless and be a witness to the word of God.
  • Take part in preparing the food to be handed out at least once a month on Saturdays or possibly twice a month.
Currently the Homeless Ministry meets on the last Saturday of every month in the EVCF Fellowship Hall at 3:30 pm to assemble the lunch sacks.  Then we leave to distrubute lunch sacks around 4:30 pm and caravan to downtown San Diego.  If you are interested or need more information please contact ministry leader.

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?"  "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you."  Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."
